THINGS TO SEE AND DO:
Balboa Park - Experience a massive park with different trails, bike routes and stunning scenery. Check out any of the 15 museums or visit the Prado for some free outdoor entertainment. Did we mention chillin' in the sun or groovin' in a drum circle? You could easily spend a couple days in this park - it's packed with stuff to do.
Seaworld - Sea animals, rides and shows. It's an incredible marine park
San Diego Harbor Excursions - Cheap boat tours around the harbor and whale watching excursions Nov - Mar. Oh, and don't forget the wicked sunset cruises.
San Diego Zoo - Visit the country's most famous zoo. Not only an enormous zoo with tons of animals from Meercats to a new baby Panda, but they are known for very successful breeding programs of endangered species.
San Diego Nightlife - You can walk to the strip - about four blocks of sports bars, pubs & clubs. Virtually dozens of happy hour spots. Example? The Yardhouse offers the worlds largest selection of draft beer. Variety? Some clubs host multiple areas with different music and vibe.
Beaches - Surf, swim, people watch, bbq, chat up or get chatted up. The beach scene is a must in San Diego.
Other - Golf, disc golf, skydiving, snorkel, ocean kayak, scuba, you name it, there's a lot this city has to offer.

A: From 9th and Broadway (about a 5 minute walk from our front door) take bus #30 straight to Pacific Beach.

A: Take the blue line trolley toward San Ysidro from the City College stop at Park Blvd and C Street (about a 5 minute walk from our front door). Get off at the last stop and walk across border. Just a 30 minute ride for $2.25

Q: What is a hostel anyway?
A: Well, it's like a college dormitory for backpackers. Want to stay in the center without paying $150 for an average hotel room? Not only do our dorm beds start from $13.90 per night (depending on season), but you'll find it's a clean, safe place to leave your things and lay your head. Want to be in walking distance to restaurants, college, and nightlife? That's us.

Q: Do i have to bring my sleeping bag?
A: We actually don't allow sleeping bags. You may check it at reception and collect it when you check out. We will provide you the bedding you need for free. This is how we ensure a clean and bug free environment from the otherwise 1,000 sleeping bags that would pass through here annually.
